Dr Alex Ritchie - Principal Dentist and Owner

Leading the practice is Dr Alex Ritchie. He is a dual qualified dentist and physiotherapist with over 18 years’ experience treating patients. He completed his degrees at the University of Queensland and Griffith University earning multiple awards for academic excellence.
Alex is passionate about all facets of dentistry, particularly treatments that restore patient confidence, aesthetics, function and oral health. His focus is on ensuring a positive experience for every patient, and he achieves this through providing individualised dental treatment tailored to the needs of his patients.
In addition to cosmetic and general family dentistry, Alex has a special interest in replacing missing teeth with life-like dental implants, as well as the treatment of jaw joint pain. Also known as temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) disorder or TMD, Alex has the experience and knowledge to treat this complex condition thanks to his qualifications as a dentist and physiotherapist.
Alex was born and bred in Brisbane, and has called Manly home for the past 8 years. Alex is a proud father to four kids, he thoroughly enjoys being part of the local Manly community and is excited about the further opportunities being a local dentist will provide to service the community.
A compulsive learner, Alex values continued professional development and is a member of one of the longest established Brisbane-based dental study groups, The Vardiman Group. He also regularly attends courses on the most up to date procedures and treatments to ensure the most comprehensive treatment options are available to his patients.
Dr Simone Faoro - Dentist
Dentist Manly Queensland
Dr Simone Faoro has over 18 years’ experience as a dentist. Simone is passionate about preventative treatment, ensuring she’s able to support patients to obtain their oral health goals. Simone enjoys performing all aspects of dentistry with special interests in the areas of preventative and restorative dentistry, children’s dentistry, prosthodontics and cosmetic treatments including clear aligners. She has a strong interest in continuous education, attending regular courses to ensure a high standard of care is provided to all patients. She has an approachable and friendly manner which puts patients’ anxiety at ease.
Simone is passionate about providing quality and gentle dental care to all her patients. Her goal is to be able to assist patients to improve and maintain their oral health for the long term taking into consideration their individual needs.
Originally from Brazil, Simone relocated to Australia in 2005 and has worked with Queensland Health and in private practice ever since. Simone speaks both English and Portuguese fluently, which means she is a highly effective communicator, who takes the time to ensure her patients are fully informed about their treatment options.
Simone calls the Bayside home with her husband and two beautiful daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys Pilates sessions, camping and a nice day at the beach! Simone is available to see patients on Mondays and Thursdays.
Chantelle Ritchie - Practice Manager
Chantelle is passionate about psychological wellbeing in workplaces, creating business processes to support patient experiences and providing a friendly and comfortable workplace for employees. Chantelle’s role is to support the team to provide a great experience for patients, business development and growth.
Chantelle is an experienced business development specialist, with over 14 years managerial experience. She holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honors from Bond University and is currently undertaking her PhD.
Kate - Dental Assistant and Receptionist
Kate is a very experienced Dental Assistant with over 19 years experiencing taking care of patients in the Manly area. Kate previously worked with Dr Lloyd Simmonds and we are so fortunate to have Kate now working alongside Dr Alex Ritchie. Kate is passionate about animals, especially horses, dogs and cats, of which she has many. Kate is also a proud and attentive mother to three beautiful children. Kate is an efficient and caring dental assistant and a key member of our professional team.
Steffi - Dental Assistant and Receptionist
Steffi has been on board with Dental on Cambridge Manly since we commenced in July 2019. Steffi brings a warmth and professionalism to our team, and has over 12 years experience in the dental industry. Steffi is passionate about patient care and customer service and she exudes professionalism and empathy to all of our patients. Her bright smile will make your day! Steffi has two beautiful children who keep her on her toes as well as two loving Labradors, and she enjoys keeping fit in her spare time! (Currently on Maternity leave).
Natasha - Dental Assistant
Natasha joined our practice in March 2020 - yes just before COVID! What a ride it's been for Natasha! But we were so pleased she decided to come back on board once we re-opened. She is such a delightful team member to have on board as a dental assistant across both of our surgeries. She always has a beautiful smile to greet everyone and always strives to ensure patients are comfortable and our dentists are well supported. Her attention to detail means that things never get missed! She enjoys 4x4 adventures, camping and going to the beach. Natasha also makes an amazing coffee due to her years of experience being a barista!
Anna - Dental Assistant
Have you had the pleasure of meeting Anna yet? She’s the bubbly voice on the end of the phone or the beautiful warm smile that’s been greeting you at front desk! Anna joined our team in October and comes to us with a wealth of experience. She’s originally from America, Colorado, but has married her Aussie beau and now calls the bayside her home away from home. Anna enjoys camping, gardening and spending time with her baby, Prudence her pug!
